When will my child’s preschool or daycare get a Little Library?
Right now, Little Libraries are headed to initial sites targeted for early study by Begin Bright’s research partner, Vanderbilt University’s Prenatal to 3 Policy Impact Center.
All 400 certified childcare centers and preschools will get a Little Library during a four-year, citywide rollout.

Nashville Public Library’s early literacy experts with the Library’s Bringing Books to Life (BBTL) team are in Nashville schools already, bringing reading readiness workshops and training to educators across the city.
Any early childhood education program in Davidson County is eligible.

When can I get on the app?
Right now, teachers and parents have access to the Begin Bright app as their child’s preschool or daycare receives its Little Library as the program’s research partner, Vanderbilt University’s Prenatal to 3 Policy Impact Center, studies the results of both the libraries and the app.
Once Begin Bright has reached all 400 certified childcare centers and preschools in Davidson County, all Nashville families will have access to the app.

How much does this cost?
Like all Nashville Public Library resources, Begin Bright is completely free. Private funding raised by Nashville Public Library Foundation supports this work and augments Metro Nashville funds.
